Moss Condition Types
Before buying moss, you should also think about the condition you want your moss to be in. Making the right choice here will depend on your commercial building type, including the typical lighting and humidity conditions. Also, whether the moss needs to possess specific properties or if it’s purely for decorative purposes.
As with everything else we’ve mentioned so far, our moss experts can provide tailored advice about your purchase when you contact us.
Preserved Moss
Preserved moss involves applying a special treatment to live moss so that it will keep its current appearance for years to come without requiring any maintenance. A preserved moss wall doesn’t require access to natural light or watering.
All of our moss walls are made from preserved moss, so they’re a completely sustainable and biodegradable material.
Best for: Low maintenance greenery options, or in buildings which lack suitable conditions to sustain a live moss wall.
Artificial Moss
Sometimes, using live or preserved plants still isn’t quite the right fit for a project, for instance, in hospitality venues or leisure facilities. In this case, we can create green walls or art installations using artificial moss. Likewise, we can design exterior green walls which will remain in place indefinitely, including as the seasons change.
Best for: Purely decorative use whereby live or preserved moss is unsuitable or is not within budget.
