Union is Vita Group’s flagship co-living community in the heart of Manchester’s vibrant St. John’s district. Comprising two striking towers designed for the modern urban professional, Union redefines city living by blending private apartments with massive, high-design communal spaces.
As a destination built on community, collaboration, and wellness, the interior experience needed to feel vibrant, welcoming, and alive. Vita Group turned to our team to design and install the comprehensive interior planting scheme for the building’s two primary public levels: the Ground Floor entrance and the First Floor social hub.

The ground and first floors of Union are vast, high-ceilinged, and architectural. The challenge was to introduce a bespoke planting scheme that could scale with the dramatic proportions of the building while achieving several key objectives:
- Softening industrial Edges: Complementing Union’s modern, industrial-chic architecture with natural texture and warmth.
- The “Wow” Factor: Creating an instant, premium first impression for residents and visitors stepping inside from the busy city streets.
For the main entrance, we focused on high-impact, live architectural statement plants that mirror the scale of the reception. We curated a selection of large-scale specimen plants that thrive in internal environments, creating an immediate sense of calm and luxury.
Around the bar and lounge areas, we integrated artificial trailing foliage and rich, textured greens to enhance the mood, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for evening socialising.
By integrating nature into the core architecture of Union, we helped Vita Group deliver a space that looks stunning and actively promotes well-being and productivity. The lush, vibrant greenery has become a defining feature of the Union experience, transforming the entrance and social hubs into welcoming, photogenic environments that residents love to call home.
