We installed a combination of live and artificial planting across the two floors of Privalgo’s London office.
The reception welcomes visitors with a striking green wall complete with Privalgo’s logo. Throughout the reception area we’ve used floor standing Kentias, Strelitzias, Draceanas and Ficus Cyathistipulas to provide a variety of species of differing textures and forms.
The floor standing displays also act as punctuation points within the open plan office whilst acting as sensory breaks throughout the floor space.

Each floor provides banquette seating areas to socialise or hold meetings and this provided another opportunity to add planting. The seating had built in joinery planters where we’ve installed species of Aglaonemas to soften the area as well as add an extra layer of privacy. The biophilic layer also helps dampen the acoustics of the open plan area.
Similar planting is mimicked throughout the desk areas where live planting has been installed on the cabinet tops. We’ve used Aglaonemas, Asplenium ferns and Monstera here as they require similar lighting and maintenance. The planting here also helps create a more defined area for focused work by providing a visual and acoustic buffer.
We’ve incorporated artificial trailing plants on overhead rafts, especially above seating areas. This design strategy softens the industrial architecture and helps mitigate noise pollution, while the resulting canopy effect provides a feeling of natural refuge that enhances focus in designated zones.
